Running Accomplishments:

I began training for marathons in 2006.  Two friends of mine actually told me about a group named Max Fitness, a tri-athalon group in Chicago.  Prior to this I'd been wanting to train and run a marathon since I was about 16.  I began in 2005, on my own, training for the Detroit Marathon and had gotten up to 5-miles before I rec'd a job relocation opportunity to Chicago.  Long story short, I joined Max Fitness in 2006 and ran the Chicago Marathon in 3:54:35.  I had no clue what I was doing, but I was told that was an excellent time.  I ran the Chicago Marathon in 2007 with heat up to 85 degrees.  Seeing people falling out on the side of the road and others walking, I didn't want to end up in the ER and ran a 4:02:12.  This year I'm training and want to make my Boston Qualifying time for my age group of 3:45.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Qualify for The Boston Marathon

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to accomplish a 3-hour marathon

Personal:

My lifestyle allows me no excuses to accomplish my goals as I have no kids and neither am I married.  This year I am planning to really bring it on the trail in order to meet my goal.  I run with a marathon training group, but am lacking a good deal of motivation.  I actually started not to run this year because I was just not feeling it.  I'm getting my stride back and am ready to take on another year of running and accomplish my goal of 3:45 so that I can fulfill a long time dream of finishing Boston.
